Stacy J. Hagadorn, age 46, of Burr Oak, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville.
She was born May 21, 1967, in Sturgis, a daughter of Frederick Hagadorn and Judith (Saums) Elliot.
Stacy had been a resident of Sturgis all of her life and graduated from Sturgis High School with the class of 1985. She then completed Horst School of Cosmetology in Minnesota and later received her LPN from Kellogg Community College. She had worked with home health care and local nursing homes as an LPN.
She had a love for horses and was involved in 4-H, being 4-H princess when she was younger, and also liked music, spending time at Big Fish Lake, was a lover of dogs and raised Pugs.
Surviving are her daughter, the light of Stacy’s life, Camile Hagadorn of Burr Oak; her mother, Judith (Michael) Elliott of Sturgis; brothers Scot E. Hagadorn, M.D., of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Steven P. (Colleen) Hagadorn of Sturgis; and nieces and nephews Bryant, Sydney, Lindsay and Nick Hagadorn.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2–3 p.m. Thursday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis.
Services celebrating the life of Stacy J. Hagadorn will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with retired Pastor Bob Keim officiating.
