Wagaman obitPaul A. Wagaman, 77, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday evening April 15, 2014 at the Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born Feb. 21, 1937 in Colon, son of the late Oscar and Stella (Nicholas) Wagaman.

Paul resided in Sturgis since 1967 coming from Mendon. His early life was lived in Colon where he attended Colon Community Schools.

Paul was a lifelong farmer who truly loved his job and was considered by many as being a workaholic.

He enjoyed many hours spent at the Liars Table at the Westside restaurant in Sturgis. He also enjoyed playing golf and loved time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by five sons, Jeffrey Paul Wagaman of White Pigeon, Brad (Laurie) Wagaman of Manahawkin, N.J., Terry (Betsy) Wagaman of Dearborn Heights, Randy (Tracy) Wagaman of Commerce Township and Kevin Wagaman of White Pigeon; 12 grandchildren: Justis, Jeff, Jr., Jennele, Dwight, Mallory, Aubrie, Tyler, Colin, Daniel, Andrew, Abigail and Gabrielle; three brothers, Leonard Wagaman of Kalamazoo, Luther (Louise) Wagaman of Battle Creek and Chuck (Marlene) Wagaman of Athens; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Suzanne (Wagaman) Stimmer.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-3284. Funeral services celebrating the life of Paul Wagaman will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Steve Bean of the Sturgis Wesleyan Church will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Sherwood Cemetery in Sherwood.
