More than a dozen arrests

Enhanced patrol for criminal and motor-vehicle violations netted more than a dozen arrests last week in Constantine Township.

Law-enforcement personnel from six different agencies focused their attention on U.S. 131 Wednesday and Thursday. During the two-day patrol, officers made 89 contacts, making 13 arrests and issuing 19 citations.

Arrests were made for various charges, including drug possession, firearm violations, misdemeanor traffic violations and outstanding warrants.

Taking part were representatives from St. Joseph County Area Narcotics Unit, St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, Three Rivers and White Pigeon K- 9 units, Constantine police and reserve units from Three Rivers and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
