Bill Mowrey, 92

William F. “Bill” Mowrey, age 92, of Three Rivers, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Reynoldsville, Pa., a son of William Franklin and Catherine (Conrad) Mowrey.

Bill served his country in the U.S. Army and later became a mechanic. He was member for many years of the Bethany Chapel and later the 9th Street Methodist Church.

Mr. Mowrey was preceded in death by his wife, Fern; one daughter, Nancy Cunningham; one granddaughter, Paula Graves; one daughter-in-law, Joan Mowrey; two brothers; and three sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving companion of many years, Katheryn “Katie” Trattles of Three Rivers; one son, Ernest Mowrey, of Three Rivers; four grandchildren, Joseph Adams, Gary John Adams, William F. Mowrey and Jodie Moore; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, as well as one great-great-granddaughter, Madison.

Private gravesides services will be held. A memorial service will be scheduled sometime in June.
