Patricia Straw, 62

Patricia Ann Straw, 62, of Elkhart, IN, passed away Wednesday, July 16th, 2014 at Elkhart Center for Hospice Care. Patricia was born in Martin, Kentucky on February 12, 1952, a daughter of Cora Lee (Harrington) and Troy Taylor. She graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa, OK in 1972. Patricia attended North Eastern State University and later Cosmetology school in Indianapolis. She worked as a Union Steward at US Post Office Indianapolis, IN., for 25 years. Patricia was very dedicated to her job with the post office and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Angela Straw-Harrison, of Spring Hill, TN; son, Christopher (Janella) Straw, of Lebanon, OH; three sisters, Celia (Theo) McDuff, of Wichita, KS; Linda Slone, of White Pigeon, MI; Karen Taylor, of Constantine, MI; brother, Troy E. (Arlene) Taylor, of Elkhart, IN, grandchildren CJ Straw, Joshua Straw, Alexis Straw, Nicholas Straw, Austin Harrison and Trinati Harrison, nieces Dawn Cates, Stephanie Hamby, Andrea Taylor and nephew Aaron Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in law Bill Slone.

Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 12 -2 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine where Religious Services will follow at 2 pm, with Pastor Christopher Straw officiating.
