Donna Gail Schultz, age 77, of Mendon, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her home. She was born in Benton Harbor on Feb. 10, 1937 the daughter of the late Marion and Mae (Bodtke) Harner. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School and attended South Bend College of Commerce. Donna first worked at the Haas Corporation (now IAC) in Mendon, and then at Mendon High School as an assistant librarian for over 23 years. She attended the Crossroads Missionary Church and was a life member and past Matron of Mendon Chapter #154 and the Three Rivers Chapter #210 of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking cookies, reading, and crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and fellow church members and Eastern Star activities.
Donna was married to Norman Schultz on Oct. 15, 1959 in Angola. Norm died on Aug. 29, 2002. Donna is survived by a daughter, Mary (Joe) Salter of Mendon; two sons, Rick (Carlyn) Schultz of Paradise, PA, and Bill (Vicki) Schultz of Mendon; five grandsons, Jared (Coral) Salter, Caleb (Monica) Salter, Ryan, Eathen, and Elijah Schultz; great granddaughter, Alexandria Salter; step-daughter, Carol Weinberg-Smith of Farmington Hills; step-son, Robert (Cindy) Schultz of Columbus, OH; brother, Robert (Joyce) Harner; sister, Carol (Stuart) Smith; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon where there will be an Eastern Star Rite at 7:45 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 am on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Crossroads Missionary Church with Pastor Bryan Balasa officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.
