James A. Redebaugh, age 67, of Leonidas, passed away July 21, 2014, at his home.
James was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Detroit, a son of the late Arthur and Virginia (Johnson) Redebaugh.
James grew up in the Detroit area, graduating from Grosse Pointe Woods High School. He continued his education at Olivet College for four years. James had made his home at his present address for the past 33 years.
He had worked as an auctioneer for O. Coats Agency in Union City and also worked for Morgan Olson in Sturgis for 17 years.
James enjoyed watching and participating in sports, spending time at his vacation homes, and time spent with his family kicking the junk.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, of Leonidas; two daughters, Amanda Redebaugh of Augusta and Tracie Hardy of Vicksburg; grandsons Adam, Josh and Mercer; a brother, Peter (Joan) Redebaugh of Bloomfield Hills; nieces and nephews Laura, Cathleen and Peter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Adam Craver.
Private services have taken place. A celebration of life, country summer picnic will take place from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at the Redebaugh home at 32810 M-60, Leonidas. All friends and loved ones are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and beverage of choice.
The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
