A Bristol, Ind., firm was chosen for the 2014 enhanced mill-and-resurface project in the city of Sturgis.
During their meeting last week, members of the Sturgis City Commission awarded the job to low bidder Niblock Excavating Inc.
The company’s bid was just over $1 million.
Streets involved in the project are South Clay from U.S. 12 to West South Street; East Hatch Street from North Lakeview to North Franks; South Lake view from Mechanic Street to just south of Merribe; West Congress Street from South Nottawa to South Clay Street; North Street from West U.S. 12 to West West; and Griffith Street from North Lakeview to Ilene.
Commissioners also voted to award a contract for the North Centerville Road project to low bidder Kalin Construction Company for $760,000.
