Michael L. Davis, age 53, of Defiance, Ohio died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, Ohio.
Michael was born Aug. 8, 1955, in Sturgis, Mich., to Kenneth Davis and Alice Stuck.
He was a 1973 graduate of Centreville High School. Michael was a resident of Defiance, and worked for 20 years at Campbell’s Soup in Napoleon. He enjoyed eating out with friends at Kissner’s, his Mustang and his cat, Bubba.
Michael is survived by his companion and soulmate, Michelle Perez of Defiance; two daughters, Melina Davis of Defiance, Michelle LaPlanet of Three Rivers; one son, Danny Davis of Constantine; father, Kenneth (Becky) Davis of Sturgis; mother, Alice Schappert of Defiance; ex-wife Tammy Carrol Davis of Defiance; two brothers, Larry Davis of Sturgis, Marty Schappert of Defiance; one sister, Lisa Davis of Howe, Ind., and two grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Clifford and Helen Davis; stepfather, Bud Schappert; and cousins, Kevin and David Davis.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, 529 Jefferson Ave., Defiance, Ohio.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the funeral home.
