Jeanne M. Ivins, 94, of White Pigeon, Mich., died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at Sturgis Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 9, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of Jim andMary (Walker) Nelson.
She was a White Pigeon area resident since 1950, coming from Chicago. She had been employed at the Chicago Telegraph Company, Roy’s Grocery Store in White Pigeon and a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, was the church organist and pianist and was a member of the VFW Auxillary.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kincaid of White Pigeon; two sons, Gary Kincaid of Wisconsin and Robert (Yvonne) Kincaid of Victor, Idaho; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, GilbertW. ivins; son, Leslie J. kincaid; her parents; and six brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon.
