Deborah A. Mead, 59, of Constantine, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, from injuries of an automobile accident.
She was bornMay 17, 1955, in Holly, to Richard H. and Carol G. (Armstrong) Roberts. She was a Constantine resident many years coming from Holly.
She had a master’s degree in health administration and was employed by Friendship Village in Kalamazoo over 20 years. She was member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Constantine, Christian education, church council, Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls of Eastern Star and a volunteer for Sturgis Toy Run. She enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband, demolition derbies and most of all, time spent with her family.
On June 17, 1972, she married Rod J. Mead in Three Rivers. He survives, along with her daughter, Amy L. Boembeke of Centreville; a son, William C. (Amanda) Mead of Three Rivers; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Steven Roberts of Rankin and Howard Roberts of Centreville; two sisters, Christiana (Terry) Nichols of Constantine; Anna Hawkins of Durand; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard; and two granddaughters, Taryn and Paige.
Memorial services will be held at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Constantine, with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating.
