William Jacobs, 70

William Lee Jacobs, age 70, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at his home. He was born in Three Rivers on December 19, 1943, a son of Raymond and Dorothy (Gest) Jacobs. William attended Centreville High School. He served in the US. Navy as a photographer during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Foust in 1968; together they had 2 sons. William worked as a truck driver for Ready Mix in Three Rivers, and also as a Security guard and Independant Courier in Las Vegas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing pool. William was a member of the Three Rivers American Legion and the Three Rivers Eagles.

Surviving William are his sons Michael Jacobs of Rocky Mount, NC; Joseph Jacobs of Sturgis, MI;
their mother Linda (Foust) Burkett; grandchildren Alyssa, Heather, Jessica, Zachary, and Livia; brothers Steven Jacobs of Constantine and James (Cindy) Jacobs of Sturgis. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Raylene Lindsley.
Relatives and friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Eley Funeral Homes in Centreville, where Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Randy Evans of New Beginnings Church will officiate. Interment of ashes will be follow at Prairie River Cemetery Centreville.
