Nancy Cook, 67

Nancy Kay Cook, age 67, of Mendon, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Three Rivers on Feb. 24, 1947 the daughter of the late Orren and Helen (Rumsey) Wagner and was a lifetime resident of the area. She graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1965. Nancy first worked at Consumers Power Company and later at Ronningen Research & Development. She retired from the food service department at Mendon Public Schools after many years of service. In her spare time Nancy enjoyed reading, crocheting, and casino trips. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy was married to David A. Cook on May 17, 1969 in Mendon. He survives along with two children and two grandchildren, Scott (Amber) Cook, and their son, Noah of Portage, Susan (Robert) Smith and their son, Liam of Mendon; brother, Doug (Karen) Wagner of Mendon; three sisters, Patti (David) Alleshouse, Sharon (Skip) Batten both of Mendon and Jeanette Ruggles of Portage; many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday Dec. 11, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Lon Bouma, Chaplain with Southern Care Hospice officiating. Interment will be in Mendon Cemetery.
