Arrests made following armed robbery

Three Elkhart men were arrested Friday in connection with an armed robbery at a Cass County gas station two days earlier.
Sheriff Joe Underwood Jr. said a clerk at the Marathon station in Jones was robbed at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Underwood said a cashier was able to get a description of the vehicle following the armed robbery incident.
Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, the same cashier was working and noticed a car matching the vehicle involved in the robbery, and immediately called 911. The vehicle left the business but was located a short time later at a Cassopolis business.
Three subjects were arrested for conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of an unregistered handgun and possession of methamphetamine.  They are expected to be arraigned today in Cass County Circuit Court.
