Mr. Santos M. Candelaria, age 86, of Three Rivers passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home. He was born on April 2, 1928 in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Antonio and Eujenia (Mercardo) Candelaria as well as two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Candelaria was united in marriage on Sept. 3, 1952 to the love of his life Mrs. Leoda H. Allen. They moved to the Three Rivers area in 1960 where Santos began work at Dock Foundry where he eventually became a Foreman. He also worked for Burkin Homes and Wells Index for a short period of time and was a member of the Church of Christ in Portage, MI.

Preceded in death by one brother, Domingo Mendez, and one sister, Josefa Ramon.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 62 years Leoda Candelaria, of Three Rivers; sons, Steven (Robbyn), and Gary (Brenda) Candelaria, both of Marcellus; grandchildren, Jason (Ashley Ollis) Candelaria, Sarah (Jason) Parker, Ashley Candelaria, Christine (Matt) Kessler; three great-grandchildren, Addie, Oliver, and Claira; sister, Margaretia Colon, of Hartford, Connecticut.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd, 2014 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Mike James officiating.

Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery
