Diane Bower, 72

Diane Rosadelle ( Hagen) Bower, 72, of Sturgis, Mich., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Sturgis Hospital, following a two- month illness.

She was born Dec. 12, 1942, in Sturgis, the daughter of Walter L. and Rosadelle ( Parke) Hagen. Except for two years in Florida, she lived in the Sturgis, Constantine and White Pigeon area all of her life. She was a 1960 graduate of White Pigeon High School.

She first married Don Geibe. They later divorced.

She married Wilbur F. Bower on May 25, 1979, in White Pigeon.

She was a homemaker, bank teller while in Florida and a waitress at Klinger Lake Country Club and Sturges-Young Auditorium. She was a member of Fish Lake Bible Church, where she was an active member in cleaning the church and attending the nursery. She was a member and past president of the Mintdale Women’s Club and enjoyed gardening, traveling, old movies and assisted her husband with his business, Trapper Will’s.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbur F. Bower of Sturgis; two daughters, Suzanne ( Gregory) Macomber of Kalamazoo and Mary ( Steve Bonde) Geibe of Golden, Colo.; son, Joe ( Kim) Geibe of Sturgis; four step children, Scott ( Hiroko) Bower of Three Rivers, Jeanenne ( Don) Cliffman of Burksville, Ky., Jill Castanon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Chad Bower of Ft Myers, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; three brothers, Skip ( Brenda) Hagen of Mottville, Sid ( Jean) Hagen of White Pigeon and Dan Hagen of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Donna.

Relatives and friends may call from 5- 8 p. m. Thursday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon and 10-11 a. m. Friday at Fish Lake Bible Church where services will be at 11 a. m. Friday with Pastor Timothy Brondyke officiating. Internment will take place in the Fish Lake Bible Church Cemetery.
