Five unlocked vehicles were ransacked and had items stolen from them during incidents that occurred last week in Leonidas and Colon Townships.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department said the incidents occurred between late Thursday night and in the early morning hours Friday on Blossom Road.
The first incident took place outside a residence in the 54000 block of Blossom Road, where three unlocked vehicles were entered. In all, a GPS unit with charger mount and an AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo system were stolen.
The second incident occurred outside a residence in the 56000 block of Blossom Road in Colon Township, where $50 in change, a tool box and a satellite radio were stolen from two vehicles parked in a driveway.
Investigators said it appears the suspect parked by the roadway and walked to the vehicles on the properties.
