Marie McCallie, 78

Marie McCallie, age 78, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Jan. 16th, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 21, 1936 in Searcy, Arkansas the daughter of the late George Ray and Lena Modena (Martin) Neal.
Mrs. McCallie has been a long time member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to cook and was often organizing food events. Some of her other hobbies were writing, country music, quilting and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Nell Bunker and Ann Richardson; and brother, Bob Neal. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, Bill McCallie, of Three Rivers; two sons, Del (Ann) McCallie, of Constantine, MI., and Keith McCallie, of Chugiak, Alaska; three daughters, Sherry (Keith) Sutton, of Otsego, MI., Debra (Rick) Jordan, of Grant, MI., and Freda McCallie, of Three Rivers; two brothers, Rondal Hargrove and Earnest Neal, of Searcy, AK.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews survive.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20th, 2015 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Foster of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be held in Poe Cemetery following services. Memorials may be donated to the family of Marie McCallie c/o Delbert McCallie. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
