Marie M. Holderman, age 88, formerly of Colon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, in Stevensville.
On Sept. 19, 1942, she married Lloyd Holderman in Goshen, Ind. He preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1967.
Marie had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Colon Baptist Church for most of her life.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Dillon, Mary Kline, Lloyd (LeeAnn) Holderman Jr., Debra Layson, Patricia (Daniel) Howland, Albert Holderman, Brian Holderman andMichael (Trudy) Holderman. She also is survived by 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Rachel and brother Nelson, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Betty and Caroline Holderman.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
A funeral service celebrating the life ofMarie M. Holderman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Colon Baptist Church, with Mr. David J. Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.
If desired, the family suggest memorials be made in memory of Marie to Colon Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
