Estella Marie Lash, age 92, of Three Rivers, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers. She was born in Mendon Township on Feb. 3, 1923 the daughter of Ezra and Dessie (Ogle) Butler and was a lifetime resident of the Mendon area. She was married to Victor Leroy Lash in Oshtemo on Sep. 22, 1942. Victor died April 26, 2001.
Estella was a homemaker who also worked at Denton Mills in Centreville and White House Manufacturing and Continental Can Co. in Three Rivers. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and sewing and created many doll clothes and costumes for her family. She also enjoyed card playing and was an avid reader.
Estella is survived by three children and their spouses, James (Dee) Lash of Vicksburg, Larry (Joanne) Lash of North Carolina, and Sandra (Joe) Bingaman of Three Rivers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Glenn, Merritt, and Wendell Butler; and by two sisters, Imogene Spence and Beatrice Lewis.
Cremation has been conducted. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 18, 2015 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Josh Wiggins, Pastor of the Edwards Corners Bible Church officiating. A private interment of ashes will take place in Mendon Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
