The next step for a water trail master plan will be a discussion by county officials next week.
Representatives from St. Joseph-based Edgewater Resources announced the master plan will be a part of the agenda during next week’s St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Though the public comment stage of the process has already passed, additional questions or comments about the issue can be submitted in advance of the meeting, which starts at 5 p.m. March 3 at the county courthouse.
Additional information can be obtained at the county website at: stjosephcountymi.org. Comments or questions can be directed to 467-5617.
According to Suzanne Fromson, landscape architect with Edgewater Resources, the plan outlines a strategy to help the county take full advantage of its water-based resources by increasing and improving access to rivers for paddlers.
