Christine Ellen Middling, 67, of Constantine, Mich., died on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 12, 1947, in Three Rivers, Mich., the daughter of Howard and Lillian (Young) Steiner and was a Jones and Constantine area resident all of her life.
She married John E. Middling on Dec. 12, 1964, in Three Rivers. He died Nov. 28, 2014.
She was a homemaker, employed by Syndicate Systems in Middlebury, Ind., Troyer’s Super Valu in White Pigeon and The Riverview Restaurant.
She wa a member of the White Pigeon Church of Christ and Three Rivers Eagles and enjoyed bird watching, gardening, flowers, ceramics, painting, puzzles, Facebook, and most of all her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Sonyia Jo Middling Arnold of White Pigeon; two sons, John L. (Linda) Middling of Constantine and Cory. L. (Teresa) Middling) of Ispeming, Mich.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Deborah Steiner of South Bend, Ind.; three brothers, Dennis (Ruby) Steiner of Constantine, Douglas (Sandy) Steiner of Jones, Mich., and Richard (Becky) Steiner of Constantine; son-in-law, Rolland L. Arnold; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the White Pigeon Church of Christ with Pastor Rudy Grantham, of The Bible Baptist Church in Constantine, offiating.
Cremation will follow services with interment of cremains at a later date in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
