Ann Arbor man falls 6 floors trying to get in apartment

Authorities say a man has been hurt after apparently trying to scale a building to get into his apartment from another balcony and falling six floors.

The Ann Arbor News reports Tuesday that the 51-year-old Ann Arbor man had arm and leg injuries but was conscious when police arrived Sunday evening. He told officers he’d fallen down the outside of Miller Manor.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush says the man couldn’t get into his sixth-floor apartment so he went to a friend’s home on the same floor. She told him it wasn’t a good idea but he went out to her balcony.

Police say they believe he was standing on a storage container trying to get on the railing when he lost his footing.  (AP)
