Harold E. Johnson, 69, of White Pigeon, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Three Rivers Health, following an extended illness. He was born April 25, 1945, in Three Rivers, a son of Raymond and Mary Alice (Raver) Johnson. In his early life, he lived in the Wasepi and Nottawa area and attended school there. He was a resident of White Pigeon all his adult life. He was a roofer for Manufactured Homes and Cargo Trailers. He enjoyed his tractor, fishing, gardening and, most of all, time with his family.
On June 10, 1967, he married Carolyn R. Schmidt in White Pigeon. She survives, along with daughter, Shireen J. Cline of White Pigeon; two sons, Jesse L. (Lisa) Johnson of Coldwater and Darle J. (Marie) Johnson of White Pigeon; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Black of Sturgis and Elizabeth (Jim) Varga of New Carlisle, Ind.; a brother, Richard Johnson of Mottville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers and sisters; and an infant son, Raymond.
Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor Michael Peters of the Missionary Church of Elkhart, Ind., officiating. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
