James Richard Larson, Sr., age 77, of Three Rivers passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Dearborn, MI on February 1, 1938 the son of James Clarence and Karine (Clouse) Larson.
James managed several grocery stores for many years and also was a bus driver for Marcellus Schools. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, doing yard work, gardening, and his beloved animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Lillian (Demott) Larson; daughter, Rosie Davis and her daughters, Angela Davis, and Nicole Coulson, Lorene (Manny) Percigo, Patricia (Mark) Howard and their children, Amanda Howard, John Howard, and JoAnna McAdams; son, James Richard Larson, Jr.; stepchildren, Toni (Don) Bonnema and their daughters, Ashley Moore and Melissa Stull, Mark Perault and his daughter, Tosha Foghino, Robert (Katie) Hughes and their daughters, Courtney Whitman and Megan Rogers; eight great grandchildren.
In accordance with family wishes cremation had been conducted and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in honor of James’s love for animals may be directed to the Animal Rescue Fund of St. Joseph County. Envelopes available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
