Clifford Ditmer, Jr., 58

Clifford Merle Ditmer, Jr., age 58, of Nottawa, and formerly of Burr Oak, lost his hard-fought battle with cancer Saturday, May 16, 2015, at home, surrounded by his family.

Clifford was born Nov. 3, 1956, in Sturgis, a son of Clifford Merle Ditmer Sr. and Dale (Woodman) Webster.

Survivors include his loving wife, Loreane (Conley) Ditmer of Nottawa; his mother; seven sisters, Penn Waltke of Sturgis, Kathy Alldredge of Burr Oak, Lorraine Carter of Burr Oak, Laura (Roman) Miller of Bronson, Marlene (David) Warble of Sturgis, Tina (Bobby) Reed of Burr Oak and Colleen (Lee) Ross of Burr Oak; a brother, Terry Ditmer of Sturgis; a daughter, Angela (Gary) Salesman of Coldwater; a son, Dustin (Tabitha) Ditmer of Burr Oak; four grandchildren, Keona and Nazare Salesman, and Dane and Turner Ditmer; four stepchildren, Clark and Tracy Conley and Diana and Ronnie Engle; eight stepgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; a granddaughter, Zari Narelle Salesman; both sets of grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, May 21, followed by a celebration of his life at 4 p.m. at New Beginnings Community Church, M-66, Sturgis, with Pastor Randy Evans officiating.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation may direct it to the family to help with final expenses, or to the American Cancer Society.
