Paul Chupp, age 86, of Constantine, MI, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his home. Born in Allen County, Indiana on June 28, 1928, he was a son of Daniel and Sarah (Schwartz) Chupp. On April 5, 1951 he married Elizabeth Yoder in Sturgis. Paul loved woodworking and was a self-employed cabinet maker, owning Chupps Cabinet Shop. He was involved with the St. Joseph County Chaplaincy Program for many years and was a member of Calvary Chapel in Sturgis.
Surviving Paul are his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Chupp of Constantine; sons Ruben (Idella) Chupp, Nappanee, IN, Marcus (Mamie) Chupp, Constantine, daughters Faith Ann (Menno, Jr.) Stauffer, Constantine, Pauline (Elmer) Yoder, Middlebury, IN, 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, brother Menno Chupp, Sturgis, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Rosie Yoder, Salome Miller and Lillian Graber, and 4 brothers Amos, Edwin, Festus and Andrew Chupp.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Calvary Chapel; 66969 N. Centerville Rd, Sturgis, where Religious Services will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday. Pastor Dana Stauffer and Pastor Laverne Swartz will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Centreville. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry or St. Joseph County Chaplaincy Program. Arrangements were entrusted to Eley Funeral Homes in Constantine.
