Vic Krontz, 66

Victor Eugene Krontz, age 66, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, June 14, 2015, at Mottville Motor Speedway in Mottville. He was born July 25, 1948, in Coldwater, a son of the late Donald and Marcella (Keith) Krontz. Vic resided in FortWayne the past four years, coming from Mira Loma, Calif. His early life was lived in the St. Joseph County area.

Vic had been employed at night clubs and he was currently volunteering at Carriage House in Fort Wayne.

He had a passion for stock car racing and enjoyed working on cars. Vic truly loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Shannon (her finance Eugene Stephenson) Krontz of Fort Wayne; four grandsons, Justin, Victor, Kyle and Tyler Grand, all of Fort Wayne; two great-grandchildren, Scarlette Rose and Haden Alexander Grand; a sister, Mione (Lawrence) Monroe of Bronson; two brothers, Jim (Rusty) Earley of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Don (Sue) Krontz of Mira Loma, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Christy Jo Krontz; a brother, Terry Earley; and an infant sister, Caroline Sue Krontz.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.

The Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
