Three Rivers Health is pleased to announce that our outpatient occupational therapist,
Erin Nowak, MS, OTR, has met her credentialing requirements and is now a Certified Hand Therapist.
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist who has a minimum of five years clinical
experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, the Certified Hand
Therapist has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in rehabilitation
of the upper extremity. The CHT credential offers assurance to the public that the therapist has achieved
the highest level of competency in the profession and stays up to date with practice within the field.
“Erin demonstrates the continued professional development we offer at Three Rivers Health, and we are
very fortunate to have her on our team,” said William Russell, CEO, Three Rivers Health. “We congratulate
her on a job well done.”

University. She has been practicing occupational therapy for 12 years, 10 of these with Three Rivers Health.
She lives in Three Rivers with her husband, Matt, and their three boys. Erin is a member of the Three Rivers
Schools Board of Education as well as treasurer of Three Rivers Little League. Professional memberships
