Nancy Preston, 73

Nancy Lee (Caseman) Preston “the Bride”, age 73 of Sturgis, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home. Nancy was born in Constantine on February 1, 1942, a daughter of Lloyd and Marian (Dimmick) Caseman. Nancy graduated from Constantine High School in 1960. On November 24, 1978, she married Gerald Preston in Sturgis. Nancy loved all sports, especially Detroit Tigers baseball and horse racing.  She enjoyed cheering on her children and grand-children in their athletics and 4-H.

Surviving are her husband Gerald Preston, Sturgis; children Paul (Julie) Nicholas, Seattle, WA, Janet (John) Fox, Battle Creek, Thomas (Keri) Nicholas, Baroda, Karen (Matt) Nusbaum, Richland, Kenneth (Brandy) Preston, Three Rivers, and Donald (Beth) Preston, Burr Oak; grandchildren Joshua and Alex Nicholas, Corey (Alexandra) Fox, Jessica (Kyle) Froehlich, Randi (Frank Perez) Ruble, Cody Ruble, Alyssa Ruble, Andrew Nicholas, Morgan and Lauren Nusbaum, Kacie Preston, Lily, Lane and Lila Preston; siblings Danny (Dana) Caseman, Altha, Bonnie Caseman,  Sandra “Sam” Caseman,  John (Barbara) Ruden; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Carl Caseman, Howard Caseman, nephews Jeff Caseman and Charlie Caseman.

Relatives and friends will be received Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Eley Funeral Homes, Centreville. Religious Services will be held at Centreville United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Emily Beachy officiating. Interment will be at Prairie River Cemetery.
