Bob Wolgamood Sr., 91

Robert (Bob) Forest Wolgamood Sr., 91, of White Pigeon, died on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1923 in Kalamazoo the son of Henry and Edna (Wood) Wolgamood, and was a resident of White Pigeon and Constantine most of his life.

Bob was employed by the Constantine Creamery, Trailer Manufacturing, 45 years of service and dedication to the village of White Pigeon while serving as a police officer, police chief, police commissioner and council member. After retirement he was a school crossing guard. He was a Life Member of the FOP, Charter Member and Life Member of the Old Engine Tractor Association, and a Charter Member of the Northeast Indiana Steam and Gas Association of LaGrange, Ind.

He married Ruth M. Robinson on Aug. 18, 1958. She survives with their children, Robert (Judy) Wolgamood Jr., Tina Wolgamood-Hossler, Jerry (Lori) Wolgamood, Milo (Phyllis) Reiff and Ellen (Reiff) Montgomery; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Frances (Wolgamood) Rohrbacker; one brother; one sister; one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 with Rev. Steve Kaszar and Rev. Wilbur Brandli of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to the family; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
