Priscilla Rae Bingaman, age 71, of Mendon died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at her home. She was born in Washington, DC on Jan. 18, 1944 the daughter of Robert W. and Bette R. (Kinney) Boyd. She graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1962. Priscilla was married to Richard L. “Dick” Bingaman on Oct. 19, 1963 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon.
Priscilla was a homemaker, and worked at G-W Pizza in Mendon and at Rosie’s Sand Lake Steak House in Nottawa. She retired from Mendon Public Schools where she was a bus driver for over 30 years. Priscilla and her husband were active members of the Mendon Sports Boosters. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, and crocheting.
Priscilla is survived by three sons, James L. Bingaman of Mendon, Jeffrey S. (Sherri) Bingaman of Paw Paw, and Jason P. Bingaman of Mendon; eight grandchildren, Sydnee, Jacob, Danielle, Jeffrey, Jr., Kassaundra, Eathan, Emmett, and Ean Bingaman; two brothers, Bruce (Janie) Boyd of Centreville and Richard (Nancy) Boyd of Three Rivers; a sister, Vivian Luton of Maryland; sister in law, Carol Boyd of Allegan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; brother, John Boyd; and brother in law, Sam Luton.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7th at the Mendon United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8th at the church with Nancy Boyd officiating. Burial will be in St. Edward Cemetery.
