James “Jim” F. Baker, age 72, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 19th, 2015 at the Rose Arbor Hospice House in Kalamazoo. Jim was born on August 3, 1943 in Three Rivers the son of the late L.W. and Geraldine (Robinson) Baker.
Mr. Baker attended Three Rivers Schools and later graduated from Michigan State University. He worked toward his Masters at Southern California University. On June 15, 1962 Jim was united in marriage to his grade school sweetheart Patricia “Pat” (Knoff) Baker.
Jim was broker and owner of Woodhaven Real Estate, Inc. for over twenty-five years in Three Rivers and continued his career with Cressy and Everett Real Estate until his passing. Jim was a past member of Three Rivers Rotatry, Past President of the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce, Past Pres. and Current Board of Director of the St. Joseph County Association of Realtors, and Past Board Member of the Three Rivers Industrial Park.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Elsbeth Baker; two brothers, Bob Baker and Ron Baker, and one niece Lisa Baker-Arnold.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 53 years, Patricia “Pat” Baker, three wonderful children, Barbara (Jeff) Nicholson, James F. Baker II, and Anthony B. (Richard Tanner) Baker; three grandchildren, Tanner Nicholson, Clayton (Perri) Nicholson, and Max Nicholson; one brother, Terry (Linda) Baker, one nephew, many nieces, and beloved dog, “Teddy Bear”.
Per Jim’s request cremation has taken place and no public services will be held at this time.

Pat and family so sorry to hear about the loss of Jim. He was a good and outstanding Husband, father, and grandfather. Again so sorry for your loss
