Constantine awarded DNR grant

The village of Constantine was awarded more than $20,000 from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources as part of its Recreation Passport grant program.
The village was one of 33 recipients from a field of 45 applicants to receive a portion of the $1.3 million available for recreation-related purposes. Funds are made available through the $11 annual pass residents purchase for unlimited access to any state park.
According to a DNR media release, the recipients demonstrated projects to increase public access to quality outdoor recreation opportunities.
Constantine’s grant application indicated it plans to use the money for restroom ADA compliance at Well Field Little League Park. The village’s total grant was $20,900.
