Members of the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners will open the year with four items of new business during their first meeting of 2016 this afternoon.
Matters of consideration include memorandums of understanding with the village of Centreville and Park Township for shared grant-writer duties.
Also on the agenda is setting the meeting dates and times for 2016 commission meetings as well as its executive committee meetings.
Commissioners also plan to discuss resolutions concerning appropriations to Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services as well as the Community Health Agency. A resolution will also be passed in honor of Steve Todd, who is retiring as director of the Tri-County Health Department.
Today’s meeting starts at 5 o’clock in the third-floor commissioners’ room at the Centreville courthouse.
