David Floyd Rentfrow, age 74, of Three Rivers, passed away early Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Rose Arbor Hospice House surrounded by his loving family following a very brief illness. Dave was born on June 22, 1941 in Elkhart, Indiana. The son of the late Lyle and Marguerite (Rumsey) Rentfrow.
On December 7, 1959, Dave was united in marriage to the love of his life JoAnn (Dane) Rentfrow. Together, they raised four wonderful children, and were then blessed with six grandchildren and one great grandchild, whom Dave and JoAnn loved with all their hearts. Dave enjoyed fishing, playing cards, camping, hunting, and square dancing with JoAnn. Dave was a “Jack Of All Trades” and could fix just about anything. Dave was employed in the grocery industry for 33 years and worked at W.F. Wells for ten years until retirement.
He will be missed by many, including those at his local favorite restaurants.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his wife JoAnn, and granddaughter Monica K. Rentfrow.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, three sons, David J. Rentfrow, of Sturgis, MI. John (Caroline) Rentfrow, of Three Rivers, MI. Doug (Anne) Rentfrow, of Mattawan, MI.; One daughter Dana (Robert) Kipker, of Three Rivers, MI; Six grandchildren, Rachel Rentfrow, Lindsey (Nick) Gagnon, Kimberly Rentfrow, Ashley Kipker, James Kipker, and Emily Kipker, One great grandson Henrik Gagnon; numerous cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends and family from 5-8 P.M. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Dave will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Carr officiating.
Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers, MI.
