A 15-year public servant has announced his candidacy for the Fabius Township Board of Trustees.
Lucas Allen issued a press release stating his intention to run for trustee after learning current township trustee Dave Brueck and clerk Kathy McDonough are not seeking re-election.
Allen said if elected, he will strive to not only fill the role of trustee in a manner that exemplifies the precedence of high standards set before him, but also research new ways to further improve the community.
Allen said his decision to run was based largely on family and public support. He has worked as a police officer and police school liaison officer, mentor, instructor, teacher and United States Marine Corps Sergeant.
The township’s primary election is in August.
