St. Joseph County District Court Judge Rob Pattison has announced he will stage a “Court in the Schools” session next month in Three Rivers.
Pattison on Monday said the session, will involve an actual sentencing from someone who pled guilty to a drug- or alcohol-related offense.
The event will take place at 1 p.m. April 15 at Three Rivers High School.
The classroom in which the sentencing occurs will temporarily become the 3B District Court by decree of the Michigan Supreme Court.
Pattison said presentations from people whose lives have been impacted because of their own wrong critical-life decisions or by poor choices of others will be offered.
Pattison introduced the program last year during a pair of sentencings that took place at Sturgis High School.
