Christine Kay Norton, age 66, of Mendon, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Sunshine House in Three Rivers. She was born in Three Rivers on Oct. 13, 1949 the daughter of Leonard “Mike” and Janice L. (McKindley) Osgood and has been a lifetime resident of the Mendon area. She graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1968. Chris was a homemaker who had worked for Henckel’s Meat Processing, Village Pizza and most recently at the Marathon Deli-Mart in Mendon.
Chris was married to Dean Norton at Kings Mill Park on July 23, 1994. He survives along with two daughters, Amy Stienbarger of Brooklyn, NY and Rebecca (Chad) Behrends of Mendon; son, Andy Stienbarger (Kim Persing) of Mendon; grandchildren, Jacob Stienbarger, Chloe Behrends, and Jaden Behrends; two step-daughters, Melissa (Dave) Draper of Hot Springs, AR and Jaime (Larry) Spradlin of Morenci, MI; 5 step-grandchildren, Kyra Smith, Evelyn Smith, Layne Spradlin, McKenzie Spradlin, and Jacob Spradlin; two sisters, Diane (Lon) Huffman and Karen (David Stump) Kline both of Mendon; several nieces; and her faithful dog, George. She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Osgood; and by her mother and step-father, Janice and Donald Custard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Crossroads Missionary Church with Pastor Bryan Balasa officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.
