Two people from White Pigeon were arrested Tuesday on drug-related charges following a compliance check on parolees and probationers.
Sheriff’s officials said investigators from the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit worked in conjunction with agents from the Michigan Department of Corrections on a routine, unannounced compliance check.
The checks were being conducted on St. Joseph County residents who were on parole or probation.
During a check of a parolee on South Kalamazoo Street in White Pigeon, investigators located a pound of marijuana inside the residence.
Two adults were arrested at the scene and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, parole violation and maintaining a drug house.
SCAN investigators were assisted by the White Pigeon Police Department.
