Dick Wolf, 93

Richard V. “Dick” Wolf, “Grandpa Wolf,” age 93, of Colon, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at home.
Richard was born Nov. 7, 1922, in LaGrange, Ind., a son to the late Lester and Mildred Wolf.
Richard was a lifelong resident of the Leonidas/Colon area. He first married Gladys Prolo. This marriage ended in divorce. He went on to marry the love of his life, Leatrice Perrin, on Jan. 13, 1970. She later passed away Oct. 1, 2000.
Richard had farmed and also worked at Lima Elevator in Howe for 18 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cutting wood with his grandsons and his best friend, Copenhagen.
He is survived by a daughter, Betty Outman of Leonidas; two sons, William (Judy) Wolf of Sturgis and Rick (Eugenia) Wolf of Colon; four stepdaughters, Leatrice (Kirby) Walters of Howe, Ind., LouAnn (Bill) Orton of Leonidas, Lucinda (Terry) Currier of White Pigeon and LaVonna (David) Ray of Mendon, 11 grandchildren, Cameron (Meghan), Justin (Dawn), Ryan (Chelsea), Ashleigh (John), Brad (Meadow), Kevin (Robert), Alice (Ricardo) Brenda (Joe), Lisa (Eric), Lawerence and David; seven step-grandchildren, Donald (Carrie), Shawn, Chad (Amy), Beth, Neal (Vicky), Rachel and Trevor; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-step-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Vern Wolf; siblings Stanley, Lewis, Bob, Paul, Dorothy and Betty; a great-granddaughter, Sara Bogucki; and a great-grandson, Trent Holtslander.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Richard V. Wolf will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016; at the funeral home, with the Rev. David J. Farrell officiating. Burial will follow in Leonidas Cemetery.
