Janet (Breece) Jarratt, age 84, of Centreville, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at her home. She was born February 14, 1932 in Cassopolis a daughter of Raimond and Kathryn (Simpson) Breece Sr. Janet graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1950. On February 25, 1951 she married Duane Jarratt Sr. in Three Rivers. He preceded her in death February 15, 2009. She was employed as a seamstress at Denton Mills, Centreville from 1962 to 1991. Janet welcomed everyone and made them feel as if they were the most special to her. She loved her family, grandchildren and cooking.
Surviving are her daughter Sylvia (Gary) Clouse, Sturgis, Duane (Deborah “Rah” Nuyen) Jarratt Jr, Parchment, Keith (Cody) Jarratt, Constantine, 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and sister Kay Breece, Three Rivers. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Bonnie Jarratt, grandson Dustin Pike, brothers Weller, Raymond Jr. and Philip Breece.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 4 – 7 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville where Religious Services will be held 11 am Wednesday. Pastor Randy Evans, New Beginnings Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Poe’s Cemetery, Jones. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
