Four days of activities begin today in Centreville, as the annual Covered Bridge Days community festival begins this evening.
Organizers said the event for the first time will feature a kick-off parade, which takes place at 7 o’clock tonight on Main Street. The procession, which previously was a festival-ending event, will feature the village’s citizens of the year: John and Mary Martinson.
Friday will include a full day of activities, including vendors, crafts and food along the perimeter of the courthouse property. Other highlights will include a bounce house and kids games, Gordon Russ comedy and magic show, River Country Has Talent at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. behind Firm Foundation Ministries.
Saturday’s roster includes a car and motorcycle show, an adult corn hole tournament and live music on Main Street by The Bulldogs.
An event-ending euchre tournament, with a $250 cash prize at stake, begins at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at The Local.
A full schedule is available through the festival’s Facebook page.
