Timothy Reilly, age 55 of Sturgis, passed away late Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016, at his home.
He was born Aug. 31, 1960, at Camp Lejeune, N.C., a son of James and Sue (Blakeslee) Reilly Sr.
Tim resided in Sturgis for the past 25 years, coming from Detroit. On March 28, 2009, he married his soulmate, Denell Holst, on the beach of Siesta Key, Fla.
Tim was a talented, self-employed paint and drywall contractor. He also spent 20 years in the manufactured housing industry. He was a graduate of Glen Oaks Community College with an associates degree in electrical technology.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #1314 and enjoyed photography. Tim had hobbies and involvements, but what he truly loved was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Denell; two daughters, Kelsey (Kyle) Mack of Coldwater and Jessica (Nathan) Monroe of Bloomington, Ind.; two sons, Michael (his fiancée Brie) Reilly of Sturgis and James (Aimee) Reilly of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, David, Anikka, Sylvia, Emmalee, Annabella and Alexander; his parents, James and Sue Reilly of Florida; two sisters, Colleen (John) Snethkamp of Wyondotte and Barbara Reilly of Winter Springs, Fla.; three brothers, James Reilly Jr. of Big Rapids, Russell (Kathy) Reilly of Hudson and Michael (Theresia) Reilly of Winter Springs, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Timothy Reilly will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dennis DeMott of First Baptist Church of Sturgis will officiate. In accordance with Tim’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.
