Mary Lou Markley, 79, of White Pigeon, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Three Rivers Health.
She was born March 4, 1937, in Maynardville, Tenn., a daughter of Howard and Lottie (Stanford) Earl.
She was a White Pigeon resident since 2002, coming from Union and Warsaw, Ind. On Aug. 29, 1981, she married Dwayne Markley in Mottville. He died Dec. 2, 1999.
She was employed at Custom Forms in Bristol, Ind., as an inspector. She was a member of Mottville American Legion, DAV of Elkhart, Ind., and Cass County Conservation Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Burkett of Hartford City, Ind.; two grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Belle Lambert, Frances Cormicking and Lucille Mullins; two brothers, Frank and Lee Earl; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, James and Bruce; a sister; and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rod Detweiler of Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville officiating. Interment will follow in Mottville Township Cemetery.
