The 79th Abbott’s Magic Get-Together got off to a strong start Wednesday, and event organizers said there is plenty of fun and magic continuing through Saturday in the village of Colon.
A variety of events are scheduled today and the rest of the week. Today’s highlights include street performers, magic shows at Abbott’s, the showcase performance at 8 p.m. at Colon High School and, prior to that, an illusion called “Girl to Gorilla” will take place in a tent outside the high school before the nightly performance.
Also tonight, the 25th annual close-up contest takes place at Curly’s around 10:15 p.m.
Stage shows continue at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the high school, and a benefit matinee show is at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Also, a fireworks display begins around 9:45 p.m. Friday outside the high school.
