Jessie L. (Skip) Perry, age 76, of White Pigeon, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at her home in Mottville after a long battle with COPD and rheumatoid arthritis. She was lovingly cared for at home for the past many years by her devoted husband, Dennis. Mrs. Perry was born on February 8, 1940, in North Branch, Michigan to Fred and Bessie (Lewis) Rossman. She attended school in North Branch, Michigan through high school and married Wilbert (Hank) George in 1958. They divorced in 1975, and Skip moved to Middlebury, Indiana to work for Coachmen. She met the love of her life, Dennis R. Perry, they were married on November 24, 1976. A devoted wife and mother, she remained at home teaching sewing and raising three sons until going to work at Skamper and Glaval after they were grown.
A proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 40 years, Dennis R. Perry, their children, David Perry of Marcellus, Douglas (Lisa) Perry of White Pigeon, and Dennis C. (Jennifer) Perry of White Pig eon. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jason (Kourtney) Perry, Jolene (Mike) Tartaglia, Dalyn Perry (O. J. Jones), Brooke (Corey) Huff, Logan and Wyatt Perry; and great grandchildren, Axel, Eli, Carter, Jacob, Martin, Mia, and very soon, Oslynn. She is survived by her father-in-law, Carl (Mary Jeanne) Perry; siblings, Austin (Fran), Harvey (Sue), Douglas (Roxanna), Cindy (Gary) Hoskins, and Robert (Karen); sister-in-law, Debbie (Steve) Quinn, and Michael (Cindy) Perry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Duane, parents Fred and Bessie Rossman, and mother-in-law, Phyllis Perry.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday, September 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Eley Funeral Home, Constantine, where religious services will be held Wednesday, September 14 at 11 am.
