Members of the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners agreed this week to table a matter related to an infrastructure project at one of its parks.
Commissioners voted Tuesday to delay approving a contract for sanitary sewer and water extension at Cade Lake in Fawn River Township.
County administrator Pat Yoder said the matter was premature in appearing on the commission’s agenda, as it should have first been fielded by the county’s parks and recreation committee. In addition, Yoder said, firm numbers regarding the cost of the project were to be established and accepted by the parks and recreation board before appearing before commissioners.
Parks and recreation’s monthly meeting was Wednesday. As a result, commissioners will likely act on the contract at their Nov. 15 meeting.
