President-elect Donald Trump’s lead in Michigan is 10,704 votes over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The state Bureau of Elections said Wednesday that results certified by county canvassing boards show Trump ahead with about 4.8 million votes cast. The result still must be certified by the state at a meeting scheduled for Monday. If it stands, the two-tenths of a percentage point margin would be the closest in a Michigan presidential race in more than 75 years.
The state’s 16 electoral votes are at stake.
The Associated Press has called every other state but Michigan.
No Republican presidential candidate has won Michigan since 1988.
Trump visited the state more than recent GOP nominees did. Both he and Clinton stopped in Michigan on the final day of campaigning. (AP)
