Ray Wooster, age 77, of White Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his home. He was born in Mongo, Indiana, October 16, 1939, a son of James Henry and Gladys (Decker) Wooster. Ray attended Orland High School and Plainwell College where he studied drafting. On November 25, 1961 Ray married Charlene Arnett in Orland, IN. Charlene preceded him in death February 14, 2014.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator, as well as in the oil fields in Odessa, TX and ranches in Wyoming.
Surviving are his daughters Sharon (Jim Hagelgans) Wyman, Christine Singleton, Valerie (Mike) Kearney, Elizabeth (Robert) Lane, grandchildren Jesse Wyman, Christopher Wooster, Dixie Beers, Charlene Bontrager, Melanie Davis, Robert Davis, Kimberly Trobaugh, Nicole Lane, Emilee Lane, great grandchildren Alexis, Raydin, LaTorian, Aisha, Sara, William, Brayden, Wyatt, Violet and Lillian, sisters Pat Moffett, Agnes (Jack) Roudabush, brothers CJ (Carol) Wooster, Alvin (Ruth) Wooster and Jerry (Wendy) Wooster, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughters Dayna and Mollie and brother Hank Wooster.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held 2 pm Friday at Mottville Township Cemetery. Pastor Dennis Kirouac will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wooster Family. Online messages may be left for the family at www.eleyfuneralhomes.com.
